Artificial Intelligence Disclosure
The practice of advanced machine learning, commercially marketed as “artificial intelligence” is becoming more prevalent in our daily activities. Due to the polarizing and often controversial nature of this technology and its use, it’s felt clients should be aware of how it impacts services provided. Modern photography and business software, utilities, tools, platforms, and cameras utilize various levels of artificial intelligence to varying degrees of impact on the final product. Taylor Gregory Photo makes it a point to be transparent about the use of AI in the creative process. Generative AI is typically limited to the use of "generative fill" and "generative heal" as present in the Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop applications with features utilizing AI analysis branded as “AI masking” “AI noise reduction” and “assisted culling” may also be used as deemed necessary. AI tools that meaningfully change the original subject matter or framing of an image are avoided as their use is not in line with the values of the photographer’s creative vision. Many of the features and tools used are run on local hardware owned and maintained by Taylor Gregory Photo and/or its representatives, however some features and tools require small portions of information or data be sent to Adobe’s server for analysis. Taylor Gregory Photo will not use the likeness or images produced from a photo session of any individual that may be or may be perceived to be under the age of 18 with any commercially available AI service including but not limited to "Claude", "Copilot", "ChatGPT", or "Gemini" out of an abundance of caution following the August 2026 ruling by the US Court of Appeals of the Seventh Circuit.
